Event Was Scheduled to Take Place July 16-19 at Hudson Valley’s Palisades Conference Center

PALISADES, NY, May 7, 2020 — The inaugural Low Carb New York event scheduled to take place July 16-19, 2020 at the HNA Palisades Premier Conference Center in Palisades, NY has been canceled, according to event organizer Dr. Tro Kalayjian.

“It became clear there was no way we could hold the event as we planned in July, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting social distancing regulations,” said Kalayjian, “We explored alternate dates, but with so many uncertainties regarding safety, travel, and restrictions—we have decided to cancel the event and we will be issuing refunds to ticket purchasers and vendors.” Details about refunds will be emailed to all those who purchased tickets or signed on as vendors by May 31.

What was to be a groundbreaking conference—organized by Kalayjian in partnership with The Fasting Method by IDM & LowCarbUSA—was scheduled to feature keynotes and presentations on topics relating to low carb, keto, and fasting from some of the field’s leading experts and medical professionals.

Speakers were to have included Tro Kalayjian, DO; Brian Lenzkes, MD; Megan Ramos, Nadia Pateguana, ND; Ben Bickman, PhD; Nina Teicholz; Nadir Ali, MD; Christian Assad, MD; Evelyne Bourdua-Roy, MD; David Unwin, MD; Jen Unwin, DPsy; Chris Palmer, MD; Mark Cucuzzella, MD; Aastha Kalra, MD; Cynthia Thurlow, NP; Robert Cywes, MD; Ted Naiman, MD; Andrea Lombardi, PA; and Terri Lance, PhD.

“We are obviously disappointed by the events that unfolded over the past few months,” Kalayjian said. “It took a great deal of work to schedule this incredible lineup, and we were very much looking forward to an unforgettable conference. It is our sincere hope that we will have news about a new conference in the not-so-distant future.”
